Love all of little Max’s different expressions!

Love this shot of Morgan running to give grandpa a hug!

One last shot of the whole family.

Looks like someone’s a little tired of smiling for the camera. =P

I almost chickened out and didn’t go because I was a bit scared of the crowds & the traffic. Plus, I didn’t have anybody to go with since everyone I knew had to work. I was really determined to go, though, because I didn’t want to miss out on the celebration. This is gonna sound totally cheese, but I’ve missed out on things in the past due to fear and completely regretted it later (whether it be a photography opportunity or a chance to meet someone or whatever else), and this time I wasn’t gonna have none of that. So, with my camera in tow, I braved the crowds and headed downtown. I’m really glad I did because it was a lot of fun, and not only did I finally figure out LA’s metro system, but I also got to see my hottie Trevor Ariza! =P
Anyhow, for those of you who couldn’t make it to the party, here are a couple of pictures from today’s parade.
Some of the lovely Laker girls

He’s totally looking at me….holla!

Sun Yue & Josh Powell. Poor Sun….he didn’t seem as enthused as the others. I tried to cheer for him but he didn’t hear me.

Heading towards the coliseum rally

Metro station was packed! Thankfully they added extra trains today.

The night before the wedding, Karen and Mark threw a little party for their friends & family (since many of them came from out-of-town), and they were so sweet to invite me over as well. All their friends & family are amazing and it was fun hanging out and getting to know everyone. And imagine my surprise when I discovered a familiar face in their midst…Karen’s maid of honor, one of her friends from Cornell, goes to my church here in LA! What a small world!!
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, and the reception at Windsong Performing Arts Center. Here are some pictures from their day!
At first I tried to find an angle where Karen’s mom wasn’t in the mirror’s reflection, but then I realized it was kind of special to have her in the background, especially since she & Mark’s mom picked out Karen’s wedding dress. They have great taste!

The moms were having a tough time buttoning each tiny button on Karen’s dress, so Karen’s brother stepped in to help.

One of my favorite shots of the day!

Another favorite! The bridal room was gorgeous!

Ok, can I have a third favorite? Just love this moment as Karen’s bridesmaids pray over her before the ceremony.

Mark and Karen met at a ballroom dancing class. Needless to say, their first dance was flawless!

All their guests were amazing dancers as well!

I happened to step outside just in time to catch this sweet exchange between the Karen and Mark’s moms.

After the ceremony & reception were finished, Karen & Mark took me to the place where Mark proposed so we could take some relaxed portraits.

The afternoon that I met up with Naomi & Henry for their engagement session happened to be unusually cool & windy….actually more like freezing! Even though there wasn’t any of the warm, golden sunlight we were expecting, the cloudy day still made for rockin’ images!
