While we were in Hawaii last month, we had the chance to photograph a gorgeous shoot at the Hotel Wailea with an even more gorgeous couple!  Amie & Cameron are getting married this November, and Amie (who is an actress) is a big fan of Old Hollywood movies, which is the inspiration behind this shoot.  It’s a little Hollywood Glam meets Tropical Paradise!

Their wedding planner Evonne of Events by Evonne did an amazing job of bringing together all the gorgeous details, and I can’t thank her enough for inviting us to join her for this shoot!

I absolutely adore Amie’s engagement ring!

Darla of Darla Marie Designs designed these gorgeous invites!

We thought it’d be fun to change up Amie’s look, so we asked Dan to give her a new ‘do.  The sun was starting to set, but Dan worked amazingly fast and gave Amie these sultry curls in 20 min.  He even worked in a strand of crown flowers from the table decor as a hair adornment!

Yesterday I headed out to the Lakers Championship Parade again!  Last year’s parade was so much fun that I couldn’t miss out on this year’s parade.  Especially after a back-to-back win…..against the Celtics…..in Game 7!  Oh man, I seriously almost had a heart attack watching that game.  But the team pulled together for a win, and I got to celebrate with hundreds of thousands of other Lakers fans at the parade!

Last year I went on my own, but this year I had some friends to celebrate with!

I like how the Larry O’Brien Trophy is gleaming in the sun!  And check out how cute Adam Morrison’s daughter is on the left!

The Black Mamba!

Jordan Farmar and his friends

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa & Sasha Vujacic

DJ Mbenga (& you can kind of see Ron Artest sporting the hat his daughter made for him)

Magic Johnson

AC Green

Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Chick Hearn’s wife Marge Hearn (in the white)

The po-po out in full force

“Dragged” my brother along with me to the parade

Soooooooo many people were at the parade!

There was a super long wait to get back on the Metro!  It was easy getting to downtown, but a lot tougher to leave this year.

Check out how long that line was!  And this was an hour & a half after the parade had finished.

Dolly of Dolly Couture designs the cutest vintage-inspired wedding dresses!  She recently opened up a boutique in Tarzana, CA, and my friend Alice invited Connie & me to help cover the grand opening.

The evening was a blast, complete with a red carpet photo area, lots of lovely ladies modeling Dolly’s many designs, celebrity guests, and fun give-aways!  Here are some pictures from Dolly’s new boutique and the grand opening party.

Love the details on her dresses!

We arrived at the boutique a little early, so we had some fun trying on gowns and working the red carpet!  I’m wearing The Milan and Alice is wearing The Beverlywood.  Tell me these dresses aren’t FAB!  (They’re amazingly affordable, too!)

A special thanks to all those who helped make the night a success:

CONGRATS guys!  You pulled through for the win!  Gotta hand it to the Celtics, though, for making it a seriously tough battle. Pretty sure I lost a couple years off my life from all the stress!

Here are a couple of pics from last year’s parade.  Can’t wait to go to this year’s parade!  So giddy right now. =)

It took a little convincing, but Sandy eventually talked Bob into getting in front of the camera again for an After Session.  Sandy wanted to get more photos in her dress while she was “still young and could fit into it.”  I had the honor of photographing Sandy & Bob’s wedding a year and a half ago, and it was so fun being able to shoot with them again!  I could definitely tell things were more relaxed for them this time around, and even a reluctant Bob was soon roaming through fields with us and whispering sweet things into Sandy’s ear.

Here’s what Sandy had to say about the After Session:

“After the wedding, I thought about how it would be nice if we had certain shots which we didn’t get to do during the wedding, so when Serena told me about the after-session, I thought it would be a great way to capture some shots in a more relaxed setting. And though I was really hesitant to actually go through with it, I’m really glad I finally did so because now I have more photos that I really LOVE and it was done right before the next stage of my life!”

A great big thank you to Fleuretica & Petit Plume for the beautiful flowers & hair accessories!  Always love working with you girls!
