I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by!  I meant to blog about these a long time ago, but somehow never quite got around to it.  These are the invitations I designed for my friend Vivian’s bridal shower.  Since they were headed to Europe for their honeymoon, we decided to do a European/travel themed shower.  So we made the invitations look like passports!

It was a lot of fun putting the invitations together!  Since I’m really familiar with Photoshop because of all the photo editing I do, and have no idea how to use Illustrator, I designed everything in Photoshop.  All the paper was purchased at Kelly Paper and then printed on my Epson R380.  So happy with how they turned out. =)

If anyone’s interested in using the diamond envelope liner for a future project, I’ve made a pdf that’s available for download. Enjoy!  [download here]

The inspiration for the envelope liner comes from this poster by Jason Munn.

Had the chance to help my friend Johann photograph a super cute vegan wedding recently! Everything from the food, to the vegan suits and fab dresses, to the diy stationery reflected their personalities and style.  Loved how simple, stylish, and fun every aspect of their wedding was!

Btw, Kelly & Kevin run a site called The Vegan Collection that sells vegan/cruelty-free clothing & accessories.  Check it out!

Every year since 2006 we’ve headed up to Portland to visit several of our good friends who moved up there after college.  This year, a group of us decided it’d be fun to meet up in Portland to celebrate the 4th of July.  Let’s just say it went a whole lot better than when we met up in SF to celebrate New Year’s Eve (never do NYE on a boat).  We ate sooo much good food, drank yummy cocktails, and bbq’ed at the park.  Such good times!

After a terribly early flight, we arrived in Portland and brunched at Tasty n Sons. Omg….sooo good!  Their small plates are amazing.  We shared a bunch of different dishes because we wanted to try everything.

The radish salad at Grüner was delish! And I loved how they put the bill in an old book.

We went hiking at Horse Tail Falls

Cheap and yummy happy hour at Irving Street Kitchen!

We celebrated the 4th of July with a huge BBQ at the park!  We spent the day grilling; playing ladder ball, bocce ball, and kickball; laying around in the sun; playing fetch with the many dogs there; and just having an all-around good, relaxing day.

If you visit Portland you must try Pine State Bisquits!  The bisquits & gravy and the shrimp & grits were sooo good!

People used to tie their horses to horse rings in the sidewalk. Now they tie up little toy horses as part of The Horse Project.

My friends Viv & Lloyd have the cutest place in Portland!  Love how they’ve decorated!
