While in Vegas for WPPI, Alice organized a couple of fabulous shoots for us.  The first one was out on the Las Vegas Strip. Really loving the different colors & textures we found around The Strip!

Thanks for organizing the shoot, Alice!  And thank you to our wonderful models. =)

Models: Shelli Anderson, Natalie Brewster, Marissa Knudsen

Accessories: ban.do (big thanks to Lydia of Ever-Ours for getting us the accessories!)

Things don’t always go as planned.  Sometimes rain forces you to postpone a shoot.  Sometimes the location you’ve chosen ends up being closed.  Sometimes…it all turns out for the better.

Although we encountered a few tiny hiccups while trying to set up a portrait session together, the end result couldn’t have turned out better!  We had to switch locations last minute, but I really loved how the glowing foliage at the new location complemented their outfits.  Isn’t Nicole’s dress so cute?  And who doesn’t love a guy in a dashing suit…..and suspenders?!

Loved Nicole’s necklace!  I believe it’s from Flea Market Girl.

A frame they’ll be putting up in their new home.  They originally wanted to take some photos at their home, but it wasn’t quite ready yet.

They brought along a handmade quilt a friend made them for their wedding.

Nicole & Drew, thanks for having me photograph you two again!  It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you these past few years.  You two are so great together!  Can’t wait for our next portrait session together….we must shoot at your original location!

While we were in Hawaii last month, we had the chance to photograph a gorgeous shoot at the Hotel Wailea with an even more gorgeous couple!  Amie & Cameron are getting married this November, and Amie (who is an actress) is a big fan of Old Hollywood movies, which is the inspiration behind this shoot.  It’s a little Hollywood Glam meets Tropical Paradise!

Their wedding planner Evonne of Events by Evonne did an amazing job of bringing together all the gorgeous details, and I can’t thank her enough for inviting us to join her for this shoot!

I absolutely adore Amie’s engagement ring!

Darla of Darla Marie Designs designed these gorgeous invites!

We thought it’d be fun to change up Amie’s look, so we asked Dan to give her a new ‘do.  The sun was starting to set, but Dan worked amazingly fast and gave Amie these sultry curls in 20 min.  He even worked in a strand of crown flowers from the table decor as a hair adornment!

Rebecca & Ben are just about the cutest couple ever, and it was so much fun shooting them!  We originally just had 3 girl models, so Genie asked if anyone had a guy they could bring along.  Ben was so wonderfully obliging….and he even showed up in the cutest outfit!  (I promise you the suspenders, bow tie, and shoes were all him!)

These two are seriously adorable together! And believe it or not….a few days after the shoot, Ben proposed to Rebecca!! Congrats! I’m so happy for you two!

Don’t forget to check out Petit Plume’s etsy shop for many of Genie’s handmade hair accessories you’ve seen in this shoot!

The belt Rebecca’s wearing here is the same piece Christine glamorously wore around her head!

Love Ben’s bow tie and Rebecca’s ring (borrowed from Genie’s mom)!

Genie did a gorgeous job on the hair!

Isn’t the “Ben Bracelet” so cute?  It’s from Patina Boutique and you can get it in other names, too!

I mentioned to Rebecca that I liked her locket, and she told me it was a gift from Ben.  She then opened it up to reveal two pictures he had painted of them!  How sweet is that?!  (Btw, the star necklace can be found at Patina Boutique.)

I love this headband from Petit Plume!

Our second model was the lovely Tana.  When I first arrived at Genie’s house, the girls were still getting hair & make-up done, and the first thing I saw when I walked up the stairs was Tana in this heavenly vintage dress!  I love how big & poofy the skirt is!
